The mission of Family Reach is to provide financial relief and heartfelt support to families fighting cancer. The majority of funds are dedicated to families with a child or young adult being treated for cancer. 

Ming serves as the President of the National Advisory Board for Family Reach and continues to raise money through his event Cooking Live! that takes place around the U.S. in select cities to raise awareness for the financial toxicity of cancer.
